Zamboanga Peninsula and other parts of Mindanao are expected to experience partly cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms, according to the latest forecast from the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) issued on April 11, 2025.

As of 8:00 AM, PAGASA reports that winds will be light to moderate, coming from the east to northeast, with slight to moderate coastal conditions across affected areas.

The weather system currently affecting the region is the Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ), as noted in Rainfall Advisory No. 3 Amendment #MINPRSD, issued at 12:30 PM. The ITCZ is bringing light to moderate rains over several provinces across Mindanao, including Lanao del Sur, Bukidnon, Maguindanao, Zamboanga del Norte, and parts of Davao Region, among others.

The advisory also warns of moderate to heavy rains in some areas, particularly in Basilan, Lanao del Sur (including Lumbaca Unayan), and parts of Sultan Kudarat, suggesting the possibility of localized flooding or landslides.
